Trade bot stealing skins from trade??
Hi I recently tried to trade my csgo skins to my alt account. After switching to my alt the trade appeared as 'cancelled'. I figured this was a glitch and returned to my main account when I saw a trade offer had been accepted from an account with the exact same name as my alt. I have no idea how someone would do this or how it would work. Anyone else experienced this??

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your mobile code. This could have been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to Steam.

Once you are sure you have regained control, you can start trading again. Please triple check any trades you make to be sure they are going to the correct account.

Lots of people. Google ‘Steam apikey scam’ while I dig out the list of steps you need to follow to secure your account.

Thank you very much for a fast reply!! Very helpful. ty.
always use steam authenticator.
check the details of the trade: your items (and theirs if two-way trade)
check the details of the other user: you have been friends with this user for many months/years.

report fraudulent activity at steam customer support. you may lose the items and never recover them but at least the scammer is banned from using steam again.
