Should I buy RDR2 on base PS4?
I've been holding out hope for a PC release but can't take it anymore.
I have to buy the game on console.

I have a base Xbox 1 and a base PS4.
The PS4 version is better, but by how much?

I have a 4K TV but can't justify buying an Xbox One X for one game.

How much worse will my experience by me on base PS4 compared to the X?

I mean the game is more than just a display of graphics...

Frame rate is also important

Doesn't that answer the question already?

Besides, as Ne0n Ri0 said, there is more to the game.

You shouldn't buy it at all.

But if I can't talk you out of it, the PS4 version seemed fine to me when I played it. I just thought it was super boring.

RDR2 run's fine on first gen PS4 if you don't mind the input lag (same on Pro), it takes so long for him to start walking it kill all the fun for me, i would say wait for PC version maybe it will be fixed.

This game seems to have a lower than 30FPS framerate on my PS4 slim. I started off fine...then after a few graphical updates, the game started making me nauseous towards the end. I eventually gave it away to a relative.

I'd say watch a few videos and see if the camera turning messes with you before you purchase.

Let me know what you think

I bought on Xbox x and it runs really smooth at 4k, even replayed the first one x enhanced. Shame it never came to pc

It will eventually come to PC and I will for sure rebuy it and play it again at 60+fps but at the release I got it aswell for my base PS4 and its actually good. Maybe some cities like St. Denise or Valentine lag abit by that I mean some smaller fps drops below 30, other than that I had a blast playing it.

I might just get it on base PS4 then. Everyone seems to be saying it runs and looks pretty good on the hardware.

If you allready have consoles then go for those you have. Not worth it for some extra feutures for one game. Unless you can trade both in a store.

I would never trade my PS4, too many great exclusives.
