Minecraft has made a sort of 'comeback' lately and he's trying to capitalize off of the popularity.

But honestly it is better for me to make a "gaming" youtube videos instead of just you laugh you lose and he realized that his viewers drastically increase when he made a Minecraft video.

Because he can. Also, it makes money.

Actually the opposite of this...

He's highly intelligent and knows traffic flow niches to target and at what time is best to target it for increased viewers. Minecraft is making a come back and it's a huge audience flow. More traffic, more subs, and more profit. Plus it's family friendly content, so Youtube doesn't demonetize it.

There's a reason why he has over 97 million subs, and while I don't personally watch him, I can at least respect and understand his reasons.

Because he feels like it and if that is what he enjoys doing, so be it.

It doesn't take much intelligence to figure out how to exploit the Youtube algorithim.

Amount of money doesn't equate to intelligence. Just because Pewdiepie has millions of dollars off of youtube, it doesn't mean that the system of which youtube operates is complicated to figure out.
TehOuchies Jul 18, 2019 @ 8:17pm
So what is stopping you from making those millions? because you *clearly* know how to make them. Regardless of intelligence or how complicated something is. It still is something you are not doing, Even if the reward far exceeds the effort put in. Because you know, the average intelligent person tends to put the effort in when the reward for it is far greater.

I think he actually got that off of sponsorship and merch on YT. A lot of the people I follow rather use Patreon instead. Just depends on the person making the money and how they want to do it. It is an art form to produce videos like some of them do. He has 97,768,619 subscribers that view monetized content which he gets paid to have in his videos from tiem to time.
