Bethesda Downfall?

This has been something that I've been thinking about for some time Bethesda is one of my favorites when it comes down to there open world maps I've enjoyed each game that they have put out both fallout and skyrim. However it seems as of late that Bethesda is starting to go down a dark path that could lead the company into some issues that being the fallout 76 issue and the creation club. I wanted to see what others think do you think Bethesda will become more like EA or will they learn from there mistakes and provide quality products aging without trying to milk its fans that are still with them.?

Bethesda always kind of been half-assed when it comes to their releases. I think, though, that with the rest of Zenimax's line-up still adhering to more or less solid single-player games, Bethesda themselves should hopefully come back in line with their next single-player release. Hopefully.

Fallout 4 was passable. But it went some places that I really don't want a fallout game to go.

Elder scrolls online launched like a misery. Fallout 76 was Dead on arrival.

They use the same broke ass engine you create games with the exact same massive bugs. If anybody else released games like that constantly, people would be rioting.

Maybe it's about time for a little rioting.

The problem I have with Bethesda (among those mentioned above) is that they also publish several of my other favorite games. Dishonored, Prey... I mean... ... if they do down, so do those games, and Arkane likely with it, which would be a freaking tragedy.

Yeah I really don't see zenimax going out of business anytime soon. And there's no way they're going to drop the Bethesda development studios because they are still determined to milk the hell out of the name.

Arcane could be in trouble though. Which would be incredibly sad because I love the crap out of Dishonored

Well just because a parent company might not, doesn't mean that subordinates can't go away, we've seen way too many studios bought on their virtues of ... y'know, being good at making games? And then simply wiped away like they never existed, by publishers just like Zeni. :/

Doom Eternal is looking like it will be good. Doom 2016 was a very solid game. They should be able to hold out until The Elder Scrolls 6 comes out. If they learned their lesson it will at least be functional when it comes out, instead of the Fallout 76 "Let's just get it out and patch it later". TES6 should (hopefully), be more story and gameplay instead of microtransaction focused. If they didn't learn their lessons and it is a buggy mess, then unfortunately it may be time for them to be done.

I thought F76 was actually a good game, if you look past the mostly minor bugs that are in every game. I just think people were upset before it was even released because it was multiplayer, so they didn't even want to like it to began with, therefore a lot of big fallout fans really missed out on a good game.

Con-man is short for confidence man. That's what Todd Howard is: a short little con-man. He confidently walks out and lies to everyone, over and over and over again. He is probably mentally ill (psychopathy/sociopathy, narcissism). Those types of people are best suited for jobs like that, which is why you find so many of them in those positions. They are skilled ego-driven manipulators. Sound familiar?

I've always loved the idea of multiplayer fallout. And the elder scrolls.

Are the potential to be both a borderlands class 4-player co-op game or a fantasy version of that. It was neither of those things.

It happens with most companies after big success. They become fat and lazy. They have name already and now they want to get money for their name. They don't need to build their trust anymore. There are fans who autobuy any product Bethesda releases. Fallout 76 feels like they went all-in, Todd said to his mates "Look, I can literally piss them in the face and they will think it is sugar rain falling on them".

I do like Fallout franchise and F76 is hell of a cheap game. But you can't buy it. By buying it you simply give them green light to continue and piss at you. Stop investing money in Bethesda and ZoS, show them that you can punish them if they laugh at you. Our pocket is our power.

You don't gotta worry about them becoming EA, because they already passed up EA and are far worse. Unfortunately, unlike EA, Bethesda still has a lot of fanboys that will defend them until their dying breath.

But yeah, they suck.

I can agree with you on that companies do get lazy after they have gotten big like EA

I mean you could say it's their downfall but everyone's probably still going to buy Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield when they come out
