Brightburn:Or movie studios needs to stop trying to make superhero's dark and edgy
So I have recently read about this film and well the premis it's self is interesting what if sups turned evil? But then the film turns him into a horror movie demon ghost type thing and ends up destroying his character in the process

The main reason why the MCU i so good because it is dark/serious but still respects the core source material of there characters

You also have the same thing with the injustice games where superman is a dictator but he's still superman at his core

I beg you stop trying to please the super hero fatigue people and stick with what you do best.

Thanks for reading my rant.

Brightburn isn't a DC product. That would have had Warner Brothers production studios and would have been distributed by Warner Brothers.

Brightburn is a Sony picture.

No connection to DC at all.

Except that the film’s nothing to do with DC.
All movie makers should stop trying to make superheros dark and edgy.... it's getting old fast.

There's no source material to "respect". While Brightburn is essentially "evil Superman", it's still its own thing. Being "dark and edgy" is kind of the entire point.

I actually really like Blackburn. I mean it's not even close to my best film of the year but it was actually pretty entertaining.

And yes it does borrow heavily from some of the Superman story. But I already knew that going into watching it. And I went into it thinking it would be a slightly below-average film and was pleasantly surprised.

This could also be my bias against horror movies as well. I scare easily so I avoid them like the plague I guess the fact they made a superhero style one poke a hole in my ego thus this rant.
