Quintessential Nicolas Cage films
Nicolas Cage has a fairly limited role when it comes to doing more serious film.

But when we get Nicolas Cage let off his chain, then we get to see The Man behind The mirror.

The man with no fear and no shame of taking some of the worst acting jobs ever to pay off his insane spending sprees.

Some of these films are not good. some of these films are iconic in just how over-the-top and strange they are.

so let's talk about the films that you think about when you think about Nicolas Cage. What is the one film that defines this actor's career.

I already know my thoughts.

It is drive angry. There is not a single sane moment in this film. You throw in William fichtner as not quite an antagonist, and you get to great character actors chewing the scenery and just being amazing

Hmmm... Ghost Rider?... National Treasure?... The Croods? I don't really like him... he's o.k.

His first Ghost Rider film is kinda alright. But the second one is terrible.

I actually like Knowing. I thought it was an interesting movie

Con Air and The Rock? Probably one of few Michael Bay films I enjoyed.

Face off was really good. But the only time Nicolas Cage does actual Nicolas Cage is when he is freaking out in prison and beats the crap out of that dude with the metal food tray. And was all big-eyed and manic.

Wild at Heart (David Lynch, 1990). Cage is awesome in that movie - and so is his jacket.

Yeah, but the John Travolta now Nicolas Cage has been profiling caster Troy for like forever. People keep treating him like that people keep pushing in he's screwed over because Nicolas Cage shows up in John Travolta's body, and his cheese slides off his cracker for a little bit.

When that happens in the prison fight he is totally acting like Castor Troy. Even casters brother goes holy crap bro you got even nuttier.

He roundhouse-kicks leelee sobieski.

And then begins the bear.

if it wasn't such a horrible version of the original film I would rate it higher. But it is an incredibly entertaining comedy, despite people wanting it to be horror.

Frozen Ground is a really good movie

I can’t tell you the shame I carried for years because of that.
I can't look up the title currently but if you want to Nicolas Cage horror sound look at that one with him and Ron perlman I think it's called season of the witch were they play to crusaders who are escorting a woman who may or may not be a witch. I mean it does try to take itself seriously, but it's got Ron perlman and Nicolas Cage being Ron perlman and Nicolas Cage. Still actually rather creepy though.
