You’re just happy that steam engines give you more free time.
Steam
-Most prevalent Storefront, biggest catalog of games
-Frequent Sales
-Integration of Steam Forums for most games, in addition to community hubs
-Steam Workshop for Modding Games
-Cloud Saves
-Support for all 3 Major Operating Systems - Windows, Mac, Linux
-Achievements if that's your thing
-Steam Marketplace for select games with trading economies, such as TF2, CSGO, DOTA, and so on.
-User Reviews for every game
GOG
-Completely DRM Free, no invasive DRM or anticheat on ANY game there
-They tend to fix up Older Games so they work on modern systems
-You don't even need a program (besides a web browser) to download games from them
-If you do want to use their client, GOG Galaxy, it's being updated to bring all your games from every other storefront together under one roof.
-User Reviews for games
-User Forums, not game specific I don't think like Steam though.
ORIGIN
-EA Titles basically
-EA Origin Access is seen by some as a good deal, it's like Netflix for games so to speak
UPLAY
-Ubisoft titles pretty much
EPIC GAMES STORE
-Pretty much only useful if you want Fortnite or their "exclusives"
-Their store is barebones compared to every other one on this list
I have no clue it just kinda happened we just sowly made the transition to from dvd to steam
You can still grab physical copies of games but you will have to install them through steam anyway
They really don't. Especially with large libraries and the godawful blogger like store front. Pure garbage.I don't even know how invasive the bitchtits get but I presume very much.
And the software keeps hanging up on the order process. (Thank god I only signed up to get the free goods).
I can still order via normal browser. Why is there such a hassle with the launchers?
Motto for starters:
Get the free ♥♥♥♥, get the cheap stuff, wait for your favourites to get bundled, wait till there are competitive non-steam bundles and proceed frome there on.
Not that I care because once one of the services is gone your games will be gone too so. If you hate these companies stick to DRM FREE.
GoG is really nice I must say and they gave me a lot more free stuff then Steam ever did. Also a must for owning the classics (and keeping them around for future generations).
