Do you remember Loot crate? You know, that company that ships little trinkets and pins to you for 25 dollars a month. Yeah they are going bankrupt.

Honestly i only remembered them from all the youtube sponsorship's they did.

Well they went from offering really awesome stuff to really crappy surplus stuff that companies wanted to get rid of.

There are so many way better mystery box companies out there. They're going broke because they're not competitive.

I'm not surprised at all.
My friends and I never got anything months later; PayPal refunded us - month later after PayPal made a decision they shipped it, but PayPal had already spoken.

Didn't respond to emails either. Reviews are almost entirely 1-Star of similar stories from users. Tons of people ordered even 6 month subscriptions and only got 1 crate, have a feeling they were either wildly incompetent or found a way to seriously scam people, or both.

Definitely 0 competitive nature for trying to stay in business.

Not always. In the beginning loot box was getting a ton of really cool exclusives.

But then their exclusive turned into things like pencil cases, and then things like the Funko pops that no one wants.

Even if it's technically IRL lootboxes, I kinda missed when that company was the go to YouTube channel sponsor instead of crappy mobile games with copy paste scripts where the ad sounds exactly the same no matter who's narrating it.

Still, I had no idea Loot Crate was THAT popular to spread themselves so thin so much.

I only checked these out the other day for the first time and it all looked rubbish.
Saw a Kotaku article pop up today but never read it.

I remember years ago people thought it was awesome though. Although to get it shipped here it just costs stupid amounts of money.

Yea i though so to first it sounded neat but eh for getting random items from a serie you might not be caring for. It just ended upp with something you could find in your locall gaming shelf or something obscre like sheap inflatable freaking bk crown.
