Why is Fortnite hated?

Personally I dont like Fortnite. But I've never understood how much hate this game got in a short amount of time.

yeah, i played Fortnite since season 2 and stopped in season 6. They added too much stuff and overwelmed you with stupid changes that ruined the game. Fortnite is like Pewdiepie's Minecraft series: they kill off to much characters and keep adding more characters.

Edit: i also spent 25.00 euro on the game and bought the Raven skin when it first releasd in the shop, a starter pack and the season 4 battle pass.
Yeah season pass were pretty decent though even for free players they still gave some rewards if you awere ready to grind

I sadly didn't have much time and only got to the Wonder Woman skin (tier 70 or something).

With the amount of players the game has and the amount of money the game makes yearly, you would find it hard believe anyone could hate the game.

Same can be said for any game that reaches the kind of high fortnite has e.g minecraft, COD, farcry, assassins creed etc. Everyone hates them but everyone loves them at the same time.

Opinions vary by person though. Just because something is popular and has made lots of money, doesn’t mean that everyone will automatically love it.

I love a variety of music and yet I’m not a fan of Dubstep or Nicki M or Cardi B. Am I wrong ? It’s just my opinion and if someone is a fan of them, more power to them.

The only Call Of Duty I’ve ever really liked was World At War because it told a very serious and sad story that held nothing back. I didn’t enjoy Black Ops or the other games cause they played out like Micheal Bay movies with a heavy emphasis on action and explosions.

As for Assassins Creed, I wished that they would have left out the Animus and the space beings theme of it all and left it as stories of the past. I still enjoy the games though.

Battle royale games are not my cup of tea. I tried so many, and I liked none. Once you get first place I don't see the point in playing again.
I don't spread hate around Fortnite , but I don't mind it. I just want to see the next big game type, and hope I like it.
In my opinion fortnite is too popular for how silly it is. But then again, children are silly. So that's why they like it.

I wouldn't say I hate Fortnite, I just don't care for it or any other battle royale title.

Shooting games in general I haven't had much interest in lately, but if I was to play one I wouldn't want it to be a game where you start empty handed and would have to scavenge with hopes that RNG was on your side.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of BR, or shooters in general, but I really think Fortnite (at least the BR mode) is the definition of mediocre. It's not bad by any means, but it's not good either. I won't hate on anyone for liking it though, I just found it to be pretty boring.

The problem for me was the playerbase. Having 9 year olds scream 'gotta go yeet' and ♥♥♥♥ like that in your ear while you were playing was extremely irritating. The game would be unplayable without the ability to mute randoms. I, and most of the people who don't like it, mainly had that issue and others related to the playerbase rather than the game itself.

That said, all of the 'Fortnite bad' circlejerk is annoying. In all honesty, the game's hatedom is even worse than the fandom. I just hope all the stupidity ends soon.
