Where is "here"? Because Pasta and ketchup are basically made for each other. The only other thing ketchup was made for was french fries.
Also if you don't like the sugar version just get the ones with less or without sugar.
Mayo on fries I can understand. Fries can after all be dipped in a lot of sauces as long as it's good.
Ketchup is classed as a tomato sauce. Because it's kinda made out of a lot of tomatoes and it's a sauce type.
Authentic or not, pasta is almost always served with ketchup unless you order some Italian pasta where you'll have Pesto instead.
But now I'm curious. Other Canadians, have you ever heard of pasta with ketchup? Because surely someone must be using it for pasta.
