I thought the kid was really insane and of course I never bothered to find the truth after watching (don't blame me, I was just a young teen), got a good giggle too from its subtitled parodies in mid/late 2000s.

It's crazy that a group of educated adults almost ruined the kid's life.. but I'm glad that everything turns out to be well for him (and kinda inspiring).

Yes. I have watched that video. I have also watched all of his other videos. Him and his family confessed that they were just acting.

Basically, the kid made a satirical rage video and someone took that video and used it in a documentary as "proof" that video games make kids violent. What was at first a joke video became something serious in the public eye, and most thought he actually had anger problems and violent tendencies.

The guy, now in his mid-twenties, later made a video detailing the aftermath. He said that he got made fun of and everyone knew him because of the video. Because of this, he felt angry and felt the need to threaten to shoot up his school. After that, he got kicked out of his school and went to jail for a month. After he got out he tried finding a job, but no one would hire him for two years.

Things started to turn around when he started working out, making friends, and he got a new girlfriend.

I have seen many little children being idiots on youtube (expecially from my own country but I don't know maybe it is the same elsewhere too) and I find it really unbelievable that he had all those problems when he did a very fun (and obviously fake) video. I think he made something really fun but he had to learn a lesson (don't become a meme in the eyes of other people) the hard way while many others just do dumb things and often don't have any problem.

Somebody with editing talent should take Warcraft kid stabbing himself in the butt with the remote, and superimpose it on German kids screen.

In this one, a kid destroys his PC after being told by a fake Mr Beast he would get a new one. His mother goes along with it. Then they attempt to get the real Mr Beast to fork out.

In the video however, the camera actually pans around (we will just see your room real quick), giving the kid enough time to 'swap' out the real PC for a fake PC to destroy. It's entirely staged.

You get these adults and older teens, who are clearly sadistic and enjoy seeing it, never to question it, but rather lap it up and make it into a huge negative viral drama thing for ages. The harassment goes to the extreme towards the 'actor'.

ps: Don't mock those with 'sadistic personality disorder' it's mean to them... on the other hand, they have no empathy towards others and only themselves, therefore mock away and feed it right back to them to get it though their stupidly blindsided brain.

I linked that because it's another fake video that everyone thought was real. Isn't this thread all about how fake videos end up fooling the masses. Then I listed two additional videos. German kids life was miserable due to his video. The Leroy Jenkins guy became an internet sensation in a positive light, and he used to do conventions. And then the third video, no one cared after his first video, which is why he kept trying to escalate.

Negative, positive, nothing.

It's a crapshoot to look stupid while being fake and conning people.
