Same here. Though I simply turn off my computer.
But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this has stuck on me. Hardly ended up costing much more to my build and it's just pretty.
Hate all you want. Ladies love the RGB too.
Hedious? Absolutely. It's almost as bad as covering your devices with stickers.
You know you can however turn it off, rather than needing to cover it.
What device models do you have with RGB? PC Case, Motherboard, Graphics Card, Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, etc?
There's a lot these days, but always a way to turn it off, if you just know the device name.
The only LEDs on my computer are the power button, "on" light, and hard drive... even though the case is open at all times ( because I'm in and out so much I just leave it open ) the lights don't bother me.... but I don't find extra lights necessary so no RGBs to get annoyed at... so no.
Its a nice showpiece but other then that its annoying. Try playing CS GO with pulsating RGB lights beside you
If it's on your PC Case, the RGB lighting should be on the side facing away from the monitor. Normally this is quite easy to fix, you can just flip around what side the PC Case sits. Optional: If you wanted RGB on both side, it's angled upwards and/or downwards, or against a surface to block the reflection from your eyes (never directly in your eyes or towards the monitor).
If it's on the monitor, the RGB lighting should be facing downwards towards the desk, but against a non-reflective desk surface. If the desk reflects too much, then add a cloth/mat or platform under the monitor.
At no point should the RGB be in your eyes. The keyboard and mouse RGB, if used, should be dimmed enough to avoid any problems, even in pitch darkness, and rather is just used to see the device to control.
Again, why don't you just turn it off if a distraction? You can also slow down the pulsating or RGB animation effect, change it, keep it a fixed colour, or dim it, etc. The good thing about RGB lighting is it offers a lot of options to customize. You could even have to dancing for music or a temperature monitor colour change as such.
ps: If you have purchased RGB strips of lights to use and customize in the PC Case yourself... most people forget to include a RGB light controller device to plug through it (or use the motherboard RGB controller, if available). Then for those that have a RGB controller available, some forget to install the software app to even control it (or BIOS settings).

-Razer mouse
-Razer mouse pad
-Corsair headphone stand
They're all RGB, but I never signed up for accounts, so they're all just doing their standard transition through the colors of the rainbow. All products have never failed on me and all products have never annoyed me. I barely notice them when looking at the monitor, tbh.
Got a new mouse and didn't notice it had leds for some reason, took me like an hour to get the leds to "stop working". :P
Do you know that we see our nose all the time but our brain choose to ignore it.
Hmm... Well, my keyboard and mouse have RGB capabilities and I don't mind it. If it were in my PC case or something, then yeah it would annoy me quite a bit.
