It doesn't work for plug and play with the G29. Issue is, I can set all controls as keybinds no problem, but steering doesn't work. No matter if I turn left or right, it is just handled as "steer". And if "steer" is bound to turning in one direction, it can't be bound to the other direction, meaning I can only turn in one direction using wheel input. It's a gamebreaker and really frustrating. any ideas?
To me its pretty chill, but im guessing youre not looking for a game like that
Just figured to give my 2 cents on the matter
^This ... also there's a buss one too.

GTA's specific to basically 'sandboxing' and violence which in GTA's case go hand in hand but to really truly enjoy driving around sort of mindlessly try.
Assetto Corsa or even Dirt Rally 2.0. I had burnt a lot of hours in these games with namely the first one having YouTube in the background where I could listen to countless music tracks or other documentaries and even some conspiracy theories so that's something I remember fondly.
It's very relaxing but.
Except of this I remember having fun in old games like Microsoft ehm City Driving or something like that :P and myself am also looking out for the topic in question because it interests me what people have to name in this regard of free roaming and chilling because it doesn't seem to be a main feature of attraction when designers are developing games it seems but for a few games that fit this bill, which one of would be something like Forza series, or one similar like that which has this free roaming function as a feature I believe. I can't remember the names correctly but that's not so bad. I remember something like Need for Speed series of games having this roamy-feel about them, so I guess in this OP regard this might come in handy.
Train simulators or Truck driving simulators are also nice but they are more of a niche as they don't appeal straight out of the box to a gamer like me, regardless worth mentioning though and I happen to like trains and trucks.
The new MS Flight Sim shows that it's coming.
Someday. The Holy Grail of driving games right there.

Agreed and even though not having done it myself on a horse necessarily (donkey as a kid) I remember the feeling and it's like nature is pure bliss, because she because; it. Makes things very customized for its 'creations' and otherwise inhabitants. (think of food like fruits and vegetables and environment like the sea and air and atmosphere).
Horses are an example of a living thing that's very customized I feel towards the human spirit and physique. I am not saying that the horses are 'made' for us, but just noting on how dependable on each other we are in a way, as sentient beings and how dependent on Earth or Nature we are as entities.
