- Master of Magic
- Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Jet Set Radio Future
- Goldeneye (N64)
- Chrono Trigger
1. Wizardy 8- possibly the best cRPG of all time.
2. Stardew Valley- perfection of the casual, sim-life/farming genre
3. Postal 2- you may not like the genre, but this game is to profane first-person mayhem what the Statue of David is to sculpture
4. Patrician 3- an obscure title for an obscure genre. But, arguably, the best trading/economic sim ever.
5. Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen- the fact that this game was never ported to PC is a crying shame.
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Resident Evil 4
- Bioshock
- Dark Souls
- Portal
Team Fortress 2
Call of Duty Black Ops 2
Half-Life 2
Overwatch
Life is Strange
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead
Portal
Planescape: Torment
Hand of Fate 2
Baldur's Gate 2
Can't decide between Hollow Knight and Ori and the Blind Forest for the last one.
A game that brings emotions , gives you ton of fun and joy, helps you forget about bad stuff IRL or just brings back your memories of childhood. For people like me , these games are masterpieces because they've done more than fulfill my expectations but also went beyond that.
Resident evil 4
Batman arkham asylum
Fallout 3
Suikoden 2
Honorable mention, but held back by few things
Darksiders 1. Bosses were more like puzzles, than exciting fights and there could had been more story. One more weapon type would had been welcome. Level design, pacing, secrets were great. Puzzles were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good, and difficulty was perfect.
Grim Fandango
Deus Ex
Mafia
Zelda: Link's Awakening
The crew. 5
Detroit become human. 2
Until dawn. 4
Far cry 4. 3
Master of Magic
Mass Effect 2
Ultima Underworld 1+2
KOTOR 1+2
Dragon Age Origins
I kind of agree. But on the other hand, if we consider being a masterpiece to be a different thing than being perfect, it gets a little easier.
These are all really great suggestions, though. Me, personally, I'd maybe say:
Ms. Pac-Man(arcade Pac-Man machines I played started out too slow. Ms. Pac-Man's faster)
Mario Bros. 3
Kirby Super Star Saga
Chrono Trigger
Portal 2
But it's still really hard to narrow it down to 5, and the ones that got left out but would make top 5 if I was just in a different mood atm would be Banjo-Kazooie, pretty much all LoZ games pre-Gamecube, all the Smash Bros. games with the possible exception of 4, Bioshock 1 (although it's probably the most technically flawed game here), Starcraft, Bloodborne, Resident Evil 1 REmake and 2 and 4, Silent Hill 2, Tetris, Star Fox 64, Super Mario World 1 and 2, Mario Kart 64 and 8, Mario 64, Mario Odyssey, Pokemon GSC, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Megaman 2 and X, and most of the Final Fantasy games between 1 and 10. And that's just games I've played.
But those 5 are ones which I'd say just plain nailed it, and dropped the mic.
E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy
Metal Gear Solid 2
