In every other part of JoJo the villain directly did something bad to the main characters, even in Part 3 people say they were trying to save Holly but it was not ONLY that, Dio was trying to kill Jotaro too and for sure he would have tried to kill Joseph soon too, of course they tried to save Holly too but they were also fighting for their own lives.
In part 4 Kira could have killed anybody in town and police couldn't do anything about it, and as soon as he discovered other people with stand power he of course wanted to get rid of them.
In Part 5 a young thug and a perverted, sadistic assassin decide to join forces and fight Diavolo because "poor children, drugs are bad"

It's beyond stupidity
The whole Silver chariot requiem thing is awful too
It is just a collection of the most stupid things imaginable without any real ties to the other parts.
And honestly the only good thing about it is just that, the fact that it does not affect in any way the other parts that are much better...
...this and also the fact that it made me know Enigma ^_^

I don't consider Part 5 canon.
I consider Part 5 like it was a bad written fan fiction.
I know it actually is supposed to be canon, but you can just forget it as a whole.
You could just forget about what happens to Polnareff too.
