Laptops Gtx 1070 does not have the same power as a desktop version have. I still think you should be able to max your games on Ultra in 1080p in 2019.

What your FPS will be is another thing tho

You're fine. I'm on a 970m and still playing new titles at high res.

hope so
Helios 500? 17 inch model?

Sry, for going off topic here, but im interested dat laptop.

How's the screen hinges and fan noise on load? Any cons?
Ultra does not actually give you much extra visuals, infact you would be better off with most settings at high/very high and shadows on medium/high. since the fps gain from that contra the visual gain is far far to high to not consider.

To your questions.

It depends. Do you want a certain FPS? What games do you play? etc.. your laptop is avarage in terms of gaming (yes we factor in desktop as well) for most games you will run high for several years, some you might struggle and some you can't even run high with good fps but instead have to go medium (already now and last year) it all depends on the game, what you want, etc.

I assume the laptop is balanced around that 1070

If you want proper FPS you will not be running CP2077 on more than medium/high combo. (the visual differece will not be much)

You gotta do some research on your graphics and compare it to a stock desktop gpu.

For me I have a GTX 960m 4GB which is equal to an Low/Mid (leaning to low) End GTX 750 Ti.

The gap between dekstop and laptop gpu's is very small now days, and none existant to some models.

And 960m is very low end now days. 1050ti or 1060 would be low end now, and both of them are far above 960m, no offense.
