I get connection problems too and I think it might have to do with steam. You could try force quitting steam with ctrl alt del to see if that can help without uninstalling.

Get more ram. Chrome is heavily ram dependent. Unless it's the pages itself loading slow, then you've got poor network or your OS has a malware that's redirecting your data packets elsewhere, I know because I've experienced it.
