I can't stop spending money, Help!

The more I try to stop spending my money, the more I spend.

Why am I like this?

I always do that, I sometimes stop myself from making the purchase, but then the next day I don't think about it and just buy it.

My friend spent over 12 grand in a year on the game WoW. His wife left him because of it. She said she couldn't handle his spending habits meanwhile it was his money he worked for.

I probably would. Spending more than 35€ on an article of clothing would give me one hell of a heart pounding. I always dress modestly and never cared for brands.

Safety steel tipped shoes are the sole exception to this rule.

I feel this way too, my GF/Baby momma complains about it too, But I make sure to take care of our needs before my wants.

It can be frustrating seeing your loved one spend so much money though, even though we're the ones working for it. I can understand that part.

I feel like it can be anyone, honestly. I've seen people who barely make $300 a week spend all their money on dumb stuff, I've seen people who make $5,000 a week spend all their money on dumb stuff.

I think personally I do it because I'm a high school drop out and went through years of depression and suicidal thoughts, Because when I start feeling that way, I start looking at what car I'm going to buy next and it makes me feel happy.

I live in a place where you're being judged for buying games, but not for spending 200 euros on shoes you'll never wear. Any shoes that are over 30$ are an overkill to me.

If you were to go to a bar on a Friday night, how much would that set you back in your part of the world?

When it comes to night outs 35€ is more than enough to get a belly full and get plastered and still have enough to spare.

A hearty meal goes for around 6€ here and a pint goes for around 70c to 1.1€ depending on how ♥♥♥♥ the beer is. I don't go to movies or anything of that sort so I don't really know how much a ticket goes for nowadays.

Of course if you go to a nightclub they'll charge you 4€ for a really watered down shot however I avoid those like the plague.

Because that's what gets me about spending more than $35 on a game or a pair of trousers setting the heart racing. $35 USD will not really cover a night out here. I rarely regret the amount of money I spend on a night out, and clothes, games, etc., have a much longer shelf life.

A lot of people think spending money on experiences, not things, is a far better investment. At my age, I agree. The experiences you remember & cherish more.

That's the goal now, I got myself into a bit of debt even with my great income, But as soon as I pay off the debt, I'm going to use my money on travelling and making sure my daughter experiences life how it's supposed to be experienced.

Fool yourself, grab a portion of that money and save it as if you didn't have it. And when a good opportunity comes, invest those savings in something that gives you constant profits.

Just add up how much you spend a week and see what amount hurts your eyes the most. After you're done doing that, set a limit for yourself and try to stick to things you really need, such as food and clothing, as well as payments for your bills.
