So, YouTube banned a whole bunch of people's accounts for spamming emojis in one of Markiplier's livestreams......
Thoughts?

Markiplier was having his fans vote on stuff in the livestream by putting either red or green emojis in chat, and YouTube banned/deleted some of their accounts. One guy appealed his and won, then was banned again within 30 MINUTES for no reason. Also, YouTube tweeted there was nothing they could do about it.

If I need to, I'll link Markiplier's response video

Imagine if this thread has been about Valve banning people who criticize the new UI
instead. That would have been a circus
At least Valve has the sense to ban you from the community for breaking community guidelines and only lock your whole account if you do something more serious like commit fraud. I guess that's too complicated for Google.

Which doesn't change the fact that YouTube's rules have to be followed.
It's his channel, he wasn't raiding anyone and spamming on theirs. And mark's chat is not toxic at
all like Twitch where they just spam pepe
It doesn't matter if it is his channel its still on YouTube so still has to follow their rules.

Their rules for banning are (from memory): Religion, War, attacking minorities and sexual orientation.

It has nothing to do with any of these! If you look at the screenshots you'll see they got banned for something like "🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴" (Yes, this long, was counted as spam when they only posted it like 4 times in the span of 2 hours).

It looks like a bug and Youtube said they're looking into it rn

Hope it gets fixed. I feel bad for the people who were paying for those memberships and such just for it to get thrown away and they don't get any money back.
Uhh... guys? They're also deleting creator's content too along with the banning involved. Look.

I'm quite sure Youtube isn't done banning people and will be targeting certain group of people.

Except Valve never banned anyone criticizing the UI. The people who did most likely started to insult people because they where just mad.

Sure, maybe the spamming thing was still something that needed to be thought of by Markiplier beforehand, but this video unveils a whole new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about YouTube.
