I prefer the old emojis that you would have to type out, but personally I feel like text chat can be conveyed much better without the overuse of emojis.

I just see squares in both of those. Maybe it would be different if I was on my phone. Some emoticons on YouTube I also only see on my phone that just show up as squares on the computer.

The recently changed (well 'recent' within the last like... 2 years?) Facebook emojis with :P are HORRIBLE.

I *hate* them. Because they look entirely too pervy and do NOT express what I expected them to particularly after having years of them looking more appropriate. They look like they're WAY too 'eager' if you know what I mean? They used to look pretty much like you were going neener neener and now they look like they're ready to hump your leg.
