From what I have seen G2 looks a whole world better than the steam tripe. G2 looks altogether professional, on the other foot steams UI looks terribly amateurish.
I just need to get my mits on this G2 to evaluate.
Does GOG 2.0 have any advertising elements, including update notices, that cannot be hidden until the user desires to read them?
How much of GOG 2.0 is navigable using keyboard alone?

A single game page:

There's also an optional grid view if you're into visual interfaces.

Somehow every other launcher is giving us more options while Steam is removing them... I really don't understand.
They've been working on GOG Galaxy 2.0 for a while now. Beta invites have been going out for a few...months now?
It's still missing some features the old version has, unless they're hidden so well that I've not found them. Such as accessing a game's store page without having to search for the game in the store.
From browsing the feedback forums this a confirmed coming feature.
In the meantime, the search bar already has links to the GOG store page for games you don't own yet (but only after having listed everything you own, so it does not feel "in your face" at all). One clever thing I found about that search bar is that it can pull data for basically any game in existence add it to your library and then link the executable (when it exists) to the play button. For instance:

I found it very clever and makes it a bit more than a mere store launcher.
Except the 2nd one seems more light because steam version is filled with some stuff that people doesn't care (and cannot be removed)
The first one is what people wanted but steam never had this feature, they simple put it on side and combine with the 2nd image where in GOG the left library is for the launcher and steam is for game list not launcher.
