Are tablets becoming obsolete?
As cell phones get bigger and better, are tablets slowly becoming a thing of the past? :riddle: Or will tablets live on? I used to travel with a tablet and use it on planes and at the airport, but now I just use my phone.

Tablets are for people who want to flex
Mods should start to ban people for calling people boomers. Cause they are using it as an insult and after all insults are against the rules.

My tablet's 10.1 inches, so nope. I prefer to watch videos there.

Jokes aside, I went through several Tablets, Apple, Android, the batteries died in less than two years unlike the phones I had. Might've been bad luck, I don't know.

In my opinion, I don't believe they will go obsolete, they can be useful, especially watching movies on a go with a decent size of a screen, etc.

Seems like android ones are going away, but ios ones are still being made. Kinda shame though. Many higher end tablets have great screens, and pretty decent sound cards + quad speakers, so watching movies on bed is pretty nice. Playing games is better and battery life is way better and very little throttling compared to phones.

I guess apple tablets will disappear in sometime too...
I have a PC so no need for a tablet.

as long as they sell for $2000 - $3000

YES
As you noted tablets are becoming cellphones but down the line I'd imagine the opposite being the case where a tablet as in a 'screen' would function as a phone and a tablet (organizer) and more, but not vice versa. (being just a ''phone'' that does 'more')

To become obsolete, you first need to have been relevant at some point.

Tablets have never been more than wannabe hip poor laptops :emofdr:

Tablets make for better self defense weapons than phones do.
