anyone here played diablo 1?
Never played it, but I like the look of old school games & wanted to know if it's worth playing

It's well worth it. I've been known to replay it at least once every year, or two for the last 22 years. I've even replayed the Hellfire expansion every now, and then to change it up a bit. Both are included in a single pack on GoG, and it is currently on sale so it's a good time to pick it up.

Just note that it is missing a few quality of life features found in modern ARPGs. However it didn't really need them for the most part. Plus third party mods exist that will add these features into the game, and do work with the GoG version.

i have played it around 1999 i think at my classmate's pc. never played it afterwards.
I recommend it and the second is better.

Same with Fallout 1/2.
You can get Diablo on GOG now and Fallout 1/2 on here in a pack with Fallout Tactics.

"I sense a soul in search of answers"
I played it a very long time ago and loved it. I don't think I can recommend it now. It is one long dungeon crawl. It is not that long as best I recall, so you will spend less time on it than a modern game. If you never did Diablo 2 then get that next. It is 373% better.
If $9 is no big deal to you then go ahead and try it. The game has a lot of humor in it. Like Fallout 1 and 2 did. Modern games take themselves too serious.

I was not expecting that answer lol but I guess I did

It was a good game back then for solo and co-op playing, but I wouldn't play it these days anymore. Better leave my nostalgic feeling untouched (and unrealistic).

Agreed... I also don't miss frying my eyes on a CRT monitor.

A lot of people say Fallout 2 is better than 1 aswell. It seem the second in the series is good and 3 is too far? lol

I want to say yes. But in all honest it has not aged well, for nostalgia sake it can be fun to take a look at (i bought it in a wimp due to many hours of grinding back in the day).

As for the rest nah you would find out how clunky and basic the mechanic was and limited space in your inventory is compare to let say Diablo 2.

Yes but it`s kinda primitive compared to 2, worth for the story though.
