Every time i try to browse on the app store i just keep finding the same Candy Crush, Clash of Clans, timer infested, microtransaction filled trash everywhere i look. I swear, looking for a decant mobile game is like trying to find gold in a puddle.

So as said in the tittle. Do good free mobile games even exist? And if so feel free to link / name it in the replies.

Have you tried branching outside of the "popular" section?

Also no. Any online only mobile game will most likely be a gacha game that requires you to grind daily or empty your credit cards for cosmetics.

There's the classic games like Minesweeper and Solitaire.
Usually, I play Carmageddon on my phone when I have the urge to do so in some boring situations.

Kingdom rush 1. Rest of the 3 games cost money, but not much. Only thing you can use money on those are heroes, but the main heroes are all you need and are well balanced.

On the 4th game, Ironhide finally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Added dlc towers... For a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tower defense game. The 4th game wasnt as good as the rest of them anyway. Uninteresting maps and towers are mostly all about dmg, no huge twists or anything.

Best to worst order is 2>1>3>4.

Another good one is Beach buggy racing. You can unlock everything by playing, as long as you dont spend a lot of diamonds on car paint customization. It has energy system, but its fair. You dont lose energy if you win, dont lose energy if you restart either.

Just stay the hell away from Beach buggy racing 2. Loot boxes, copy paste tracks from previous game and added mere 3 new ones, WORSE Graphics, added so many weapons into the game you get shot every 5 seconds. Imagine playing mario kart and seeing that blue missile being fired at you every 5 seconds.
