How often should I clean my pc from dust?

Hey, I just need an advice. I play games, watch videos or do something on my pc everyday from like 10:00 to late 02:00. If I'm not doing anything, my computer is usually left on. I cleaned my pc like 2 months ago or so for the last time. How often should I clean the dust?

Depends on how dusty it gets.... some houses are very dusty, some not.

I try to de-dust my computer at least twice a year, spring and fall... I don't do it in summer and winter because I do it outside and I don't want to get things over moisturizing because of humidity.

Depends how dusty the environment is and what kind of case it is (dust filters etc.). Twice a year is usually enough for me.

I usually hit mine with some air from the compressor once a month or so. Just to keep it fairly Dust and cat hair free. I do a more detailed cleaning once a year or so, which is when I backup all my files and do a fresh OS install.

I do it about once every 3 months. I go out and buy 40 to 50 cans of canned air and start dusting my pc. Since you don't get much in them air cans and my pc can get dusty more so the radiator for my cpu.

I do a full clean every couple of months. And once/twice a week, I carefully wipe some inside sections with a microfibre cloth.
The radiators have to be done about once a week too because it's very dry and dusty around where I live. Thank the gods for quick disconnect tubing.

Ever since I got a Roomba 980, the dust levels in the house have greatly reduced. This also included the PC (fans/heatsinks), to the point I don't have to clean them for 6+ months on end.

Before that, it was pretty much monthly or weekly.

So it highly depends on the levels of dust in your house and in your carpets. This calculations about 80% of your efforts required.

Keeping the PC case off the floor (positioned higher up on a desk) helps. Also the type of PC case, the fan setup (intakes vs exhausts), if you smoke around the PC (as the tar buildup causes dust to stick to it more), etc... all play a factor too.

It basically comes down to checking how dusty it normally gets on average and plan around that.

My pc is on my desk and the case is all glass so i clean it whenever i see that it needs to be cleaned, which isn't very often.
