Why do poltergeist (ghosts) like stacking chairs?
I don't get it, seems in quite a few movies a poltergeist will move about the furniture and take the time to practice stacking up the chairs.

Why?

Most poltergeists are young children. And, most children find amusement in the most basic of things. The word poltergeist is German for "noisy ghost". So horror films with lots of odd sounds usually means a poltergeist is nearby. As someone who's watched horror films for a very long time, take my advice. Enjoy the ride and don't question it - because if you question it, you might ruin the fun for yourself.

Most hotels in United States were former slave master homes. These places can hold screaming and very sad spirits, but not all are Poltergeist dwellings. It is believed that the Amytiville Home was placed above an entrance from Hell and that’s why misfortune happened to all that lived there.

I enjoy researching odd topics.

Then you need to do more research.... that's not true at all.
They were only trying to help you they didn't mean to spook you
in this modern age will gamer poltergeists become a thing
It's downright offensive. I guarantee the Sheraton in San Diego was not owned by a slave master.

For once we're in agreement - scary thought that.
Plantations ARE racist Disneyland though. Holy crap do you deserve hauntings if you book a wedding at one.

Honestly, that's more proof ghosts don't exist.
I am half convinced there is some sort of dimension or other reality that surrounds us, and sometimes the boundaries soften and things can pass between them or interact with each other.

This house is also weirdly cooler than it should be, which is great in the tropics. Only trival cheap stuff disappears, my silver spoon has never moved. *touches wood*

Take big calm breaths.... I'm sure it will pass.

Yeah, then I have to blame the dog. :darkghost:
poltergeist
[ˈpōltərˌɡīst]

NOUN
poltergeists (plural noun)
a ghost or other supernatural being supposedly responsible for physical disturbances such as loud noises and objects thrown around.

Moving around objects is their thing, I suppose.
When I visited the queen Mary (been twice, family stuff) the light above the bathroom flickered. I took to mumbling "haunted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" (Vulgar, similar to outhouse)

My aunt was not amused.

I also called BS on the ghost tour, so did a German chap. In my case, I just said "That is clearly a hot water heater."

the "Psychic" said that sometimes the facilities make noise as if they were in operation. Disney gutted most of the ship, the only facilities left are actual facilities.

The German chap kept saying curse words at the psychic, it was great. When we got to the bow of the ship (Supposedly prisoners were kept there) The German chap asked the host how she could understand the ghosts if she can't speak German or Italian. She gave some story about the dead all speaking the same language. His response was quite rude, and not in English.

The one thing I found weird while on the ghost tour is something made a noise like the gonk droid in star wars. Mostly we looked at, Ye GODS! That's right, stacked furniture.

The swimming pool was creepy, but small. I honestly enjoyed the historical portion of the ship. More interesting than the ghost crap.

One thing I found kind of sad was that there were a lot of abandoned concession stands around the ship. One had a Hawaiian punch fountain, and I couldn't remember the last time I'd had Hawaiian punch.

The historical portions of the ship are extremely interesting, and if you need to book a hotel room in Long Beach, you could probably do worse.

Their restaurants are utterly fantastic but have dress codes. Best steak I've had in my life, but it was so small.

My robot vacuum expects all chairs to be stacked so if the poltergeist wants to stack chairs, I'll start my vacuum cleaner.

Just have to work on an automated interface. Non-human symbiosis FTW.
Unsolved Mysteries covered the Queen Mary. I wonder if it is on youtube now.

oh hell yes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Xrb_oD12I

So Cheesy!

As someone who believes in ghosts and the paranormal, I would've joined in with the German chap. Ghost tours are a waste of time and money.
