How come you don't hear of anyone having the name Delano?

Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Why is nobody ever named Delano? FDR is like the only person whose first or middle name is Delano. People just don't name their kids Delano anymore.

It’s a surname.

From a surname, recorded as de la Noye in French, indicating that the bearer was from a place called La Noue (ultimately Gaulish meaning "wetland, swamp"). It has been used in honour of American president Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945), whose middle name came from his mother's maiden name.

Back in 7th grade I had a classmate called junior. The irony was in the fact that he was the smallest one in the class.

Quick question, is it specifically pronounced Del-uh-no or De-lay-no? Anyway, it does sound kind of funky to me as a first name, but as a last name it definitely sounds cool.
