Do you vote with your wallet?
Just curious how many of you actually vote with your wallet? I see people all the time say they will boycott walmart or chic fillet or epic games or a million other things. But I have only ever encountered a few people who actually vote with their wallets vs just running off at the mouth.

So are there any products or corporations that any of you refuse to support with your dollars?

Not really, no. If I want or need something, I'll buy it.

Odds are if I didn't want a product, I just won't buy it.

Yeah I do... but more the other way around. I'll pay full price for the quality products, just to support the developers.

I have boycotted some companies, but that's only if they really deserved it.

Some. I liked Starcraft and I loved Diablo II. I would have preordered Diablo III. Something I have never done. But Blizzard made Starcraft 2 and D3 have an always online requirement. Even for single player mode. Muck that. For D3 it was to support the real money auction house. So I never bought them. They say D3 was not very good anyway. Meh. There are more quality games available than can be played in 2 1/2 lifetimes.

When did it ever work exactly? I find it very hard to be convinced its a viable method.

No, I vote by filling in the little tick box on the ballot form.

It does not work. But some people have a sense of right and wrong. They do not want to feed the problem no matter how little the affect.

Never bought anything from Epic and never taken anything from their freebie-pile.

Its not a viable method for the same reason we have crap politicians who are mostly lawyers and greedy bussiness people, because everyone assumes it cant work and this is just how things are. Culture is one of the most destructive powers in the universe.
Especially with how big a successful company can be. Sure, you can make the argument about Gillette's parent company losing billions with how stupid their ad was. But, what about in the long term? Where do we even go from there?

Nope.

If something is priced way WAY too high I won't buy it. Like lets say a single cup of coffee for about $10 or so. That's just not worth it. Don't care what has been done to it.

There are things I'm willing to spend more money on and it can cost extra but only for a good reason.

One reason I'm just not buying Apple products. It seems like they ask for too much money for something other devices can do just as well for far less. Also if the devices break it'll cost me less to fix than those expensive Apple devices.

I don't boycott companies, I boycott products with certain business practices. If it just so happens most products by a certain company have those, well...guess they're SOL when it comes to my money.

I do. I don't like Apple the company or any product they make as I believe it's no better quality than any other company, they just charge more, so I have NEVER purchased anything by that company ever. I buy Toyotas instead of Chevys or Fords cause I believe they are better built vehicles. I don't give any money to any charity that I don't like (and since I don't like any I never give cash). I will not go to or watch an NFL game so they don't get any money from me. I WILL support MLS and the NHL.

When it's an issue I care about, yes. Avoiding Chik-fil-A is an example (although that was easy to do until a few years ago, as they hadn't penetrated my local market yet).
