the most awkward moment of my life was standing for the US national anthem and actually knowing all the words. i am british. AMA
edit: and i did it because otherwise i might start a fight. also i only stand for my own because otherwise i might start a fight. fear of the consequences of being or doing different is a sad aspect of certain kinds of nationalism and you never know if one of those sad aspects is sat right next to you
if you are wearing them on your eyes, removal is optional.
you can also place your right hand on your OWN left breast, NOT on the beautiful woman beside you, when singing the national anthem.
actually you can place your right hand: dead center, left, or right side of the breast. i usually placed mine at the left side (so i can count my heart beat per minute while singing).
sunglasses aren't seen as head covering anywhere. it's common in social contact to take off your shades and look someone in the eye. but for showing respect no church, ceremony or celebration has you taking off your shades.
so no, you don't take off your shades when showing respect to a flag, yes you do if you are showing respect to a person.
So no. I don’t. Rocking out with the American Flag Bandana and Sunglasses.
