Original DOOM can be played in VR through VRchat.. and it's amazing.

If you have a VR at all, i recommend going and installing VRchat if you haven't. (Its free), and there is a new world where you, and 4 of your friends can play the first DOOM (yes all of the game) in VR... Whoever did it is amazing, even the secrets, and such are there. You even get a HUD of the game too in front of you with whatever character you are using. Like really mind blown.. Music, and all is there.

Only downside i think so far is barrels don't explode yet, and there are a few bugs, but not much.

Try other games using the same engine and see of it works such as Strife, Chex Quest or Hectic.


Or better yet, see if the Doom 4 mod works.

Well, as far as Doom in VR, that’s been around since the early 1990’s. I remember trying a VR headset at Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio.

GZDoom has had VR capability since 2018.

Glad to see an official port.

Vrchat is a fantastic game with tons of creative worlds, and fun games to meet new people, and just see cool player created content in VR. Far more interactive than second life. Sure has the furries, and such, but has tons of other people just looking for friends and a good time. lol Have over 2k hours into it, and still cant get enough, especially with new content being made everyday. Sure most of it isn't great content, but that goes with everything that has any player made content, but tons of good in it too. It also still has a decent player base around 10k each day.

The original Doom is not free. Only the first chapter is available as shareware. This almost certainly violates copyright laws.

Number one its not really "the game", its a fanmade world used in VRC, also its not my world, so idk why you are acting like i made it. Its just some world in VRC someone made. Download VRC, and see for yourself.

I doubt you even played it recently tbh. Probably only played it when the whole Uganda Knuckles meme was a thing, its community has gotten far better since then after that meme died long ago.

Agree... it's not the original DooM... it's a rip off of the game in VRChat that's all... which is 99% of VRChat, memes and other people's work extracted and uploaded stolen version used without the original owners consent.
