Diet discussion + What is the right amount of chips to eat for one person?
So now I am on a diet since I am a fat boi and today is my Cheat Day. A day in a week or two where I can eat stuff like chips, cookies, muffins, candies, etc.

I just ate a whole pack of Lays Strong which was 300g. Is it too much for a single person? Also how often should you eat chips? Once-twice a week?

This has turned into a diet discussion, so lets keep that going too

Also, is there any limit I should take for eating Spicy snacks?
Just consume an appropriate amount of calories. What it is made up of is irrelevant.

Alright, thanks for the answer
What does the serving size say on the back of the package. It's at the top of the nutritional information.

And the level of spicy doesn't affect the calorie intake. Although it will blow your colon out, which is a good thing.

Also you shouldn't hog out on your cheat day. you can eat stuff you wouldn't normally eat on a diet but you shouldn't eat an excessive amount of it because your body is currently being trained to deal with out that. Unless you're exercising you should even avoid excess protein during a cheat day.

I don't have a cheat day because I use theeat normally for 3 days skip a day eat normal for 3 days rinse and repeat. Tricks the body into burning easy fats and sugars over muscle. That in some regular aerobic exercises to keep the cardio up, and I'm very happy with my weight.
If you really want to lose weight then you should fast. Skip breakfast & lunch, despite what people say about breakfast being the most important meal of the day. Your body will then target your fat to burn calories for fuel, then eat dinner. An average dinner.

The pack is exactly 285g. It says the pack contains 8/9 servings.

If you are on a diet too, I have some more questions. I really want to eat something sweet that I like, which is cashews. How much of them is okay for a single person? Because I ate like a whole 600g three days ago.

Yeah, body will burn fat if it doesnt get enough energy value or something. But it aint so good. I might try it for like 3 days. The thing is, I get headaches if I dont get something to eat. Especially at school, since its a lot of talking and stuff and I get a headache often. No medication helps, only normal food
If you want something sweet then make a smoothie out of berries & bananas, add crushed ice

less than what is necessary to give you intestinal discomfort, since that will bloat you as your intestines grow larger in order to absorb more water and/or help the spicy slide out of you.

count the calories on chips.

3,500 calories is equivalent to about 1lb of fat, and if you move around and live a normal life you'll burn around 2k per day. as long as you take in less than you burn you will gradually lose fat. if you burn 2k and eat 1.5k every day, then you should lose about 1lb/week.

if one day you add a whole medium-large bag of greasy potato chips (approx. 1k calories) you will instead lose ~0.7 lbs per week engaging in 0 exercise.

if you don't get enough nutrients in addition to your calorie intake, if you go below 1,200 calories per day, or your lack of exercise begins to cause health issues which prevent you from walking around or 'doing things' on a daily basis, then these numbers tend to shift.

does that make sense?

Kind of does. I am really lazy on sports.

Kind of does. I am really lazy on sports.

if you walk 30 minutes per day at a very relaxed stroll, 2mph, you'll burn around 100 calories. 200ish if you power-walk at 4mph. that's 700-1,400/week, which you can budget all kinds of ways. just adding an extra block or two to any walking you have to do helps a lot.
600 g of cashew. That's like 3 and 1/4 servings because the average serving is supposed to be 175 g or right around 18 to 19 cashews. They also carry a lot of carbohydrates. They're fine as a snack, nearest are good for quick protein and energy. You don't want to eat them to excess because you get a lot of carbs.

I myself usually do a peanut butter sandwich when I need something to snack on. Peanut butter is easily digested and handled by the body. if I miss a meal that's usually what I will eat instead of having a larger meal later.

I wouldn't recommend the skipping two meals a day thing. Doing the three on one off works very well. you will feel very hungry the first few times you do it which is a good time to actually hydrate yourself. Nobody ever actually drinks enough water like they're supposed to. Just don't do anything with protein or carbs.

When I first started my medication I put on quite a bit of weight when I think I have a picture of somewhere and then I have my started dieting working out picture which I look good. My doctor is quite impressed.
