Diet discussion + What is the right amount of chips to eat for one person?
So now I am on a diet since I am a fat boi and today is my Cheat Day. A day in a week or two where I can eat stuff like chips, cookies, muffins, candies, etc.

I just ate a whole pack of Lays Strong which was 300g. Is it too much for a single person? Also how often should you eat chips? Once-twice a week?

This has turned into a diet discussion, so lets keep that going too

Huh, I never knew this. Maybe I should stop eating spicy food every day :v

Kind of does. I am really lazy on sports.

if you walk 30 minutes per day at a very relaxed stroll, 2mph, you'll burn around 100 calories. 200ish if you power-walk at 4mph. that's 700-1,400/week, which you can budget all kinds of ways. just adding an extra block or two to any walking you have to do helps a lot.

Walking home-school alone aint enough. But walking IN the school would be enough mayb.?

Home-school is around 300-400 meters. So coming back and going is 600-800. And inside the school is like 0.5km so a total of 1.3. Also if there is the PE, it is more than 2km. Is it enough I get from school alone?

600 g of cashew. That's like 3 and 1/4 servings because the average serving is supposed to be 175 g or right around 18 to 19 cashews. They also carry a lot of carbohydrates. They're fine as a snack, nearest are good for quick protein and energy. You don't want to eat them to excess because you get a lot of carbs.

I myself usually do a peanut butter sandwich when I need something to snack on. Peanut butter is easily digested and handled by the body. if I miss a meal that's usually what I will eat instead of having a larger meal later.

I wouldn't recommend the skipping two meals a day thing. Doing the three on one off works very well. you will feel very hungry the first few times you do it which is a good time to actually hydrate yourself. Nobody ever actually drinks enough water like they're supposed to. Just don't do anything with protein or carbs.

When I first started my medication I put on quite a bit of weight when I think I have a picture of somewhere and then I have my started dieting working out picture which I look good. My doctor is quite impressed.

What amount IS enough water? When its the weekend/holiday I have a lot of time so I usually drink 5-6 glasses of water a day. Which is around 1.2-2 liters per day. Is it enough?

Also we dont really have peanut butter here in Lithuania. We do, but only in major stores. Not to the tiny ones you can find in a village in which like 600 people live in or something

Water consumption depends on your size and amount of activity. Since I stay active for at least 30 minutes a day specifically for fitness, I am fairly tall, and I'm quite satisfied with a heavier build because I'm also wide in the shoulders, my proper amount of water consumed per day is 4.5 liters. Which isn't too hard for me to hit as my water bottle is actually 64 Oz and all I have to do is drink 154 Oz.

I can't really tell you how much you should be drinking without weight and activity.

~5km of walking every day is just a bit over the recommended minimum. I'd say try to work in an extra 1km or so if you have any scenery you like looking at.

or, if you're pressed for time and are willing to do a little more work, doing 5-10 minutes of simple bodyweight exercises like pushups can raise your resting metabolism from <1calorie/minute to ~2calories/minute, which may help more in the long-term considering you're spending so much time sitting around in school. plus, the fat is a free training weight so you'll get way stronger than you might expect.

start with around 5 pushups every other day and try to get up to 20-40. just one set, nothing fancy. crunches can cut down on bloating too, since they help pass gas and tighten stomach muscles. don't do full situps, they tend to promote back injury.

Yeah. I will start doing pushups. Increasing 3-5 every day. I will start at 10 or something

I walk up to 14 miles a day, 5 days a week (due to work) and I've lost 40 pounds in the past 5 months alone, so I do recommend walking a lot- maybe buy some running shoes & wake up an hour earlier in the morning, run for an hour or so, then go about your day

as for water intake, a decent rule of thumb is you want your urine to be slightly less than clear. if it's clear then you're most likely drinking too much and are flushing nutrients out and straining your bladder.

though if the seasons are changing or you're about to go somewhere really hot and dry it can be good to get clear urine as a kind of buffer against heatstroke.

how much water this is varies wildly by individual and environment.

alright, but if your arms give out you should stop. you hit your maximum, and going further will increase your recovery time for nothing. make sure you have your form correct too, if you don't keep your body in proper alignment while you do it you'll lose like 70% of the benefit.

I'm going to be one of those people...

You're not eating 'chips', you're eating crisps (British English). What you call fries is what we call chips.

For me as a 12 year old, its much easier to get used to American English rather than British English
