What is the appeal of goths? Is it just a thing for edgy guys to date edgy women or what? What about weekends? Do they cut each others wrists? I don't get what people see in them.

You're thinking of emo's. Emo's are depressed pu$$ie$ who can't cope with reality. Goth's are a step up. They usually take their lifestyles to extremes and don't have many fears. Of course, i'm not goth myself, but i'd like a girl who's goth.

I went through a Goth phase in the early 90s, after that I attended many raves as a "normal" person. I would say there are people who consider themselves ravers, maybe they do the whole candyraver thing with glowsticks and pacifiers and UV accessories, but the types of raves I went to were mostly free parties in the countryside, sometimes abandoned warehouses, with people from all walks of life. There were no costumes or uniforms, no certain way to be or act, outside of enjoy yourself, the music and take care of each other.
They were just people who enjoyed temporarily being a part of a small community away from the rat race reality and government, that came together without prejudice to have a lot of fun.
