Gray To Gray Meaning?
So i'm interesting in buying a new Gaming Monitor(Dell P2418D) which response time is 8 ms,however it says 5ms (Gray to Gray).Could you explain what's the diffrerence between solid 5 ms VS 5ms GTG? Thank you.:tgrin:

It has to do with the tyep of monitor and how it displays colors ' In Plane Switching' and all that

Some LCD pixels go from black to white while some pixels stay in the gray spectrum. When the pixels replicate a color they transittion throught the grey spectrum to produce those colors. How quickly the do it it is the ms

A IPS monitor will give you black to white switching with truer color reproduction. IPS is better for gaming whilst TF/TN/TA monitors are better for all around office use.

I see it as kind of looking at a pastel painting vs looking at a bright illustration like a comic book or anime. TF= pastel painting vs IPS looks very vivid

So as far as I know the 5ms G2G is not really going to be realavent to gaming, It is a good monitor but a little over priced
