Zack Hemsey.

Expect to be uplifted: His songs tend to follow a theme of starting out down in the dumps or otherwise longing and onwards towards a greater understanding and appreciation of life.

Before this thread completely degenerates, I'd say rap and the kind of encouragment you need when you feel down are kind of mutually exclusive.....rap.....at least from what I know of it doesn't really suppliment those moods in a healthy way

Most rap does appear to be profanely sensual and temporal, unfortunately. Zack Hemsey is honestly the only rapper who I can appreciate.

I should say that each of his albums follow a sort of progressing storyline of growth and - as cringy as it sounds - enlightenment. Each song does stand well on its own, but it's definitely most interesting and inspiring if you listen to each song as they appear in an album!

I would say look up jazz rap honestly.

Lo-fi hip hop works well.
