My cat keeps squirting pee everywhere...

The title says all so why does it keep squirting pee!? its a male im new to this cat thing.

That’s called spraying, your cat feels threatened by something. Cats mark in two ways, if they are comfortable where they are at they will simply rub their scent against stuff by pushing their bodies against various parts of the house.

More then likely your cat knows there’s another cat near your property, he feels threatened by something so he’s spraying “which is actually hard to clean”. Spraying releases a very potent smell that makes it clear for other animals that the territory is claimed.

So you need to figure out what is making your cat feel his “territory” is threatened. Getting him fixed makes him less aggressive but a fixed cat can still spray so don’t expect that to be a permanent solution.

More cat tips: this builds on what other people have said, you should try to interact with the cat by playing “laser lights are awesome! But don’t always use these as if it’s the only toy it can discourage some cats since they can never catch it”, 2: cats love high places. Make sure they have various high spots throughout the house to overlook what they consider is there territory. Generally when cats are stressed is because they feel confined, bored, or threatened :)

Also if he’s actually just peeing rather than spraying, watch some videos on training cats, a litter box works! You can Very easily teach a cat to use the restroom in the litterbox 😁

Is he fixed ? is he able to go outside ? if you can get him outside and teach him to pee on everyhing else that'll help,next doors favorite plant is a laugh

If inside i think there's an old wives tale about using Vinegar tea leaves or something

All my cats were displined and i took them outside you need to teach him and you have to spend time with him,reward him for good behavior punish for bad ( nothing over the top )

I think you should monitor the cats liquid intake and give it a litter box or something.

He is signining his area. It's on Discovery C., all cats do that. Some friend said that your pet think that you are their servent.
