Alien franchise.

I just read an article about a rumor that says that 20th Century Fox has dropped the production of the next Alien movie (presumably an Alien: Covenant sequal). Along with this the rumor says that Disney could reboot the series.

Now this is just rumor, it's not confirmed by Fox at all, and for all that we know they still plan on doing the Alien: Covenant sequal. But I didn't come here to figure out he rumor. I came here to ask what you guys thought about the following:

Do you guys want to see an Alien: Covenant sequal? I would like to see a new movie, but if it is done in the same way that Prometheus and Covenant were done then they might as well just make a different Alien movie. And if Disney were to aquire the rights to the Alien franchise and reboot it then I personally think that it would be horrible. They would most likely just use the franchise to appease to the SJWs and feminists, even though the Alien franchise has always been centered around a female main character. But still they seem to be doing reboots and sequals in this fashion (for example, I heard that they are making a new Indiana Jones movie and are going to replace Harrison Ford with a female. This would be fine if the world weren't currently what it was with people trying to appeal to all of the feminist and social justice warrior groups).

Anyway, what would you want? An Alien: Covenant sequal or a new Alien movie seperate from Alien: Covenant? And would you want to see Disney reboot the series?

Before the Disney Fox deal happened, Fox was already making the new Predator movie like a few months ago.

No its not. The Alien franchise has evolved into its own universe. Its comic book material. They can take it all kinds of directions. as long as they can make good movies to tell the story nothing else would matter.

No its not. The Alien franchise has evolved into its own universe. Its comic book material. They can take it all kinds of directions. as long as they can make good movies to tell the story nothing else would matter.

I'm not sure about this. I'm not a fan of Covenant and I'm worry that the franchise could end up like Star Wars, just look how the fans reacted to The Last Jedi.
