Milka is Swiss chocolate brand but was bought by an American company in 1990, refering back to my comment about Kraft buying Cadbury, it's not supring it tastes like American chocolate.
I always loved that one. Butyric acid is found in a lot of things. And naturally occurs in butter. The The EC added it to the list of acceptable flavor additives on the EU FLAVIS database.
That is silly sensationalism. It's like saying corn is bad because you can see it in poop.
There are tons of reasons why. Different cacao contents with the U.S. being half the amount. Different sugar content, with cacao being replaced with sugar for the American chocolates. The candies have different consistencies because European milk and cream is far higher in fat and they use significantly more cocoa butter. Also we yanks get our beans from South America while you EU folk get them from West Africa, which leads to different tastes in beans.
Actually, it is almost unfair to compare the two, as they are pretty much two separate types of confectionary.
no are choco is good we just have genetic different taste buds you ...fake cousins
If you consider overly sweet chocolate to be bad, then yes. American chocolate is really bad.
Hehe... well , I just bought some chocolate from a local confectionery as a christmas present for my dad.
I even received a gift bag with more chocolate because I spent quite a lot of money there - so I got to try it too.
For short : it really IS delicious.
But I couldn't think of a well known austrian chocolate manufactory.
Lindt comes to my mind - but they are from switzerland.
Oh , I missed that post.
But if milka is owned by an american company... well... I wouldn't say that milka chocolate is bad. Not top, but it's okay, no?
P.S. I'm from the UK
