it's because they always pester others and are almost always into kinky gross things.They also in some cases actually think they are animals.

I know one brony that is really cool. That sure says something about them as a community....

Oh- I don't mind most of them - but there are a lot of bad apples among them. And over the years I've always had the feeling that they are really obnoxious.
(Not to mention that I don't like it when I.... google for pictures of Fallout, TF2 or other franchises, and I get pictures with ponies in them. But that's personal I guess.)

Well that goes a bit to far.

I've had some encounters with furries when I was in the Digimon fandom (granted , I was 10 -16). And they always seemed really friendly. But some furries =/= all furries I guess.
