Anyone else here who can't stand eating eel or fish
I absolutely despise eating eel, fish and most seafood in general. I don't why but every time I try to eat it, I gag violently, even if they were fairly small pieces. People has been saying to me "Oh, fried fish is different, you'll like it". Well, I ate one mistaking it for a mozzarella stick and ended up gagged. Eels have a very similar effect, although it's usually a bit worse. I found that fish with red meat has a more severe effect than those with white meat, based on the few seconds I had some.

Same here, to an extent. I don't care for the flavor of fish or eel. Texture and everything else is fine with me. Hell, even had octopus a few times - all of it still just tastes too bland for me. With the exception of clam chowder; that's good stuff. :pug:

I'm pretty sure it is, I don't think I'm allergic to it.

Try fried halibut at a very high quality restaurant, It doesn't taste like fish, it's kind of like if chicken was a steak... the filet is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good.

I can't stand seafood, even at times when I'm starving to death and out of food I will brave walking the streets at midnight in the cold over open a can of fish. Even if I deep fry it and cover it in spices.

The only good seafood is smoked oysters, lobster tail, blacked tuna, soft shell crab, ect.

I've even worked at a seafood resturant before and always ordered burgers and stuff.

I got like 40 cans of fish in my cabinets and I don't touch them. 1/3 of them are past experation date and they can all go past it for what I care.

I can eat nearly anything else, but fish is ugh.

And believe me I've tried. I even asked groocery store butchers what are the best spice mixes to make fish not taste like fish. And they didn't work.

If I must eat canned fish though... Pampa Smoked Herring fillets. I think fish being smoked helps take away some of the fish taste.

Strange thing is that I once had fish that tasted like hot dog or chicken, I don't know which. However, once it was revealed to be fish, it only tasted like fish, and I went back to gagging violently every time I tried it.

Hate the stuff. Fish sticks are the only way I can stand it, or if I'm being bought food I'll force down whatever it is.
Well, on the contrary, I'm ok with Lobsters. They don't particularly taste good, but I don't gag on them either. They're time consuming to eat if they are still in the shell though.

I haven't tried eel, but I have tried calamari as well as octapuss.

Have caught eel years ago irl. Its a very gross fish.

Eel is really nice if it's cooked right, use butter only to cook it in, beautiful.

My favourite is Tuna, that's a nice fish to eat :D:

The only fish I can't stand is salmon.

I got 14 cans of salmon. Skinless and boneless pink salmon. I got it because each can was a massive 36 grams of protein. Which is like 6 eggs.

I was thinking about with my head, not my stomach when I got them.
