Why have I never been bullied?

All of these people were talking about how they've been bullied and lived a horrible life, I don't know why I've never been bullied. I was/am a real nice guy, very rarely aggressive, never been in a real fight, which all seems like good material to be bullied, right?

Is it because I minded my own business? I can't think of any other reason. Unless everyone is making up their terrible life of being bullied.

Also, if someone was "bullying" you couldn't you just stop him?

I'd say by my estimate, 1 in 3 kids have been bullied. 1 in 6 are actively bullied on a daily basis.

A lot of people tend to exaggerate what’s happened to them due to their heightened emotions at the time it happened. Making it seem worse than it actually is.

I’m not denying that terrible things have happened to people but some of the time there can be details that they tend to exaggerate for effect.

I guess just be happy that it hasn’t happened to you ahaha.

Nobody ever hit me (except my brother ) but they did try to make me feel less like a person and made sure to exclude me from all social activities, because I have good grades and am not afraid to show it. Doesn't help that I'm the teacher's pet.

But now I thank them, because they taught me to be stronger. The best revenge is to live a better life than they will ever have, so I will keep improving myself. They cannot take my mind from me.

I personally never been bullied. I was very awkward at school and if I was in a generic high school movie... I would be the subject of bully-ing. Maybe people didn't want to bully me so I won't do a school shooting.

Just because you've never been bullied that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

That's like me saying sexual assault doesn't exist because it hasn't happened to me.

I think a lot has to do with location. My daughter was bullied and picked on at one school, but when we moved to a different town, she didn't have that problem anymore. The people are nicer overall where we live now.

I was never physically bullied, but I went to four different elementary/middle schools when I was a kid, and I was the outcast at every single one; the person that "nobody talks to". As such, any attempts I made to communicate with people were met with either insults or excuses to make me go away.

I'm long over it now, but to this day I never understood what it was about me that made me so unlikable to most people. I was just a kid trying to be friendly.
