I hate that fortnite is the popular game. Building is the least fun mechanic I've ever experienced.

It's too effortless. You tap a button while spinning and jumping and BAM you have a tower. Someone shoots you? One button and you got a wall. Not even EPIC likes to show off the building because they know how incredibly dumb looking it is. New trailers show off fun action instead of people spinning and jumping.

Not to mention it seems like every company that has ever produced a good multiplayer shooter suddenly can only release low quality trash like battlefield 5. I think the gold, and the silver ages of the shooter are gone and now all we get is low quality trash inspired by phone games and popular cash shop games.

Battlefield 3 being a good game in your perspective. LOL

Battlefield 3 had multiple well thought out classes that played way differently from one another. While they all used guns the engineer could put down drones to control, snipers could go recon and tag tons of targets, medics obviously were rushing into battle, reviving their team and assault was just blow ♥♥♥♥ up as a soldier.

Fortnite you have vanilla battle royale with completely autismo building. And every game on the market is trying to be fortnite.

Slay The Spire, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Metro Exodus, Dirt Rally 2.0, Dead or Alive 6, Devil May Cry V, The Division 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Tropico 6, Mortal Kombat 11, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Rage 2, Layers of Fear 2, and so on and so on. Those are only from Q1 and 2 of 2019 and most of them are from bigger devs, there are some Indie gems as well, if you look deep enough.

I tried Takedown Red Sabre a few years ago, hoped it would be good but they could've worked on it more I suppose and made an actual good tactical shooter out of it. Even though it could be fun, and tactical, it just felt too static and boring for what it did bring to the table.

I'm not sure I fully agree but I would like to see more good titles. This is why Valve should make more games, they actually made some really fun shooter games for their time, I don't know why they stopped.

Just in my opinion their has to be some good shooter games out there, albeit few and far between.

I don't want a tactical game. I want a battlefield that isn't over simplified and boring.

Bruh. That's the follow up to my comment about expanding horizons, your responce just proves I'm right.

Stop focusing on dead genre. Shooters are a thing since the 90's, everything that could be done has been done. Devs prefer to actually try something new instead of making same old "point and shoot a bad guy".
That's why newly released MP Shooters are dying really quickly. People are not interested in them.
Modern Warfare will be released soon, and I doubt it's MP will live for a long time. So yeah, just play your BF 3 and be happy you do same thing for milionth time and let people enjoy Fortnite, I guess.

bf3 was an excellent game. All dice had to do was remaster bf3 with better netcode and engine, lower the blue tint and we'd all re-buy it in a heart beat.
