Best stealth game ever made?

So I am a HUGE fan of stealth games, I feel like I have played them all but I wanna see if there are some gems I missed (I didn't play Styx but heard it was great).

I am currently replaying Dishonored 2 and have come to the conclusion it is probably one of my favorite games ever made, I love everything about it from the art style to the characters to the level design and open nature of the game play choices.

Let's hear some of your choices for best stealth games.

I haven't played Dishonored 2 so I could not compare them.

Oh dude I had forgotten about Manhunt, the game was creepy back in the day I am sure it hasn't aged too well like most older Rockstar games

My favorites are Deus Ex, Hitman, Sniper Elite, Sniper Ghost Warrior, Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor / Shadow of War, Outlast, Alien Isolation, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell.
But you probably played all of them.

yup manhunt is far the best stealth game loved it. dishonored would be next far better than splinter cell/thief etc. its a shame manhunt 2 isn't on steam.

Dishonored is the best, Dishonored 2 is also really good but the optimisation is just awful.

Dishonored 2, then 1 for me - while yeah the game optimization is crap for some rigs the actual game play is phenominally better.

And the Thief games, but also I like Deus Ex (the current set) for a lot of reasons.
