The Candyman Challenge is LEGIT

I tried the Candyman challenge and found out it is a real thing. We placed a Plush in the room (I'm with my friends) and told him if he was here to throw it across the room and it worked. The plushie was thrown across the room.

Do not try it because unless you know how to tell the spirit to go back to his world, your screwed. Guava Juice was right and it does work.

If you are planning on doing this challenge put an object in the room and say "If you are here please ______ the object"

We said Thank You and Goodbye so the spirit is probably somewhere scaring the crap out of some other kids

Sometimes spirits will come back to haunt you and possibly attach itself onto something in your house hold to stay there.

Best be careful when messing with that sort of thing. They do not always go away.

It's the sort of thing that, like in the film, has become an urban legend that some people (perhaps without any knowledge of the film) hear about and keep alive by spreading it around. I remember some kids talking about it when I was in primary school. It's one of those hard to kill ideas at this point but doesn't exist at any really major level.
