I wanted to download Battlefield 1, but it's an origin exclusive. Just wondering if it's safe and wont do any shady credit card stuff.

It's about 70% as safe as Steam...maybe 65.

Arguably, it's safer than Steam in light of 2015's "the #%!@storm before Christmas."

I've been buying games there for years, starting with three copies of the Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection. Once you set up two step verification you've got nothing to worry about.

They also give out free games all the time, usually switching every month-and-some-time, and have a $5/mo subscription service service offering unlimited access to several of their recent AAA releases.
