The Xbox one is a pile of crap!!!!

My in laws bought my children an Xb1 for Xmas and thus far I am completely unimpressed!

It requires an internet connection to play any game

You have to install every single game on the HD before you can play it (even games you have the disk for).... Then half of the time it just says that there was an error while installing the game and will not finish installing it no matter what you do.

I've been banging my head against the wall for 2 days now trying to get this pile of crap to work for my poor kids!

I'm extremely tempted to give it back to my in laws and tell them that they should get their money back!!!!!

Does everyone have this installation problem or did we just get a lemon?

I've never played a dreamcast in my life... I don't know how I've managed this... We had a play station and a Nintendo at the time the dreamcast was new, and none of my friends had a dreamcast so I just somehow managed to skip that console entirely

If you ever get a chance I say go for it. It has games like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Shenmue 1 and if you have a region free one also 2. Shenmue is kind of hard to run on a Sega Dreamcast though with a lot of crashes and start up problems.

Also Soul calibur 1, And Also some games I saw while I lived in Japan but missed so I can not say those really.

You can make a phone call without a battery charger. But owning a cell phone without a charger is utterly pointless. At some point you will need a charger therefor making a cell phone charger required equipment.

If a game requires an update before the game can be played that makes the internet a requirement for said game

unless your OS changes whatever version you have you can play disconnected even if an update is in queue.

now if you are online at a point where an update is in queue and then you disconnect at that point. I dont know, but that is a lot of ifs

if its only half true then why would you advocate a half lie by saying 'you need internet connection to play the game'

I have played steam games without internet connection so how is that statement not half false?

a few things

1. I am not changing my position peroid.

i dont know how that would even be possible.

if your disconnected how would the game even know it needs updated? and what would change in the firmware that would require it?

I dont think its possible to require an update if your disconnected unless carier pigions are involved.
