Shenmue for one.
no it would not be proper to say 'you cant make a phone call on a cell phone without a battery charger'
it would also be improper to say 'you cant swim in a pool without a pump'
more over, the difference MATTERS GREATLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you told me 'you cant play steam games without an internet connection. the trip I am about to make in my RV next week would look very different. I would prepare myself to not be able to play any games because I will not have internet. reality is, I can play most of them.
building the car is not driving the car
buying the car is not driving the car
only driving the car is driving the car
you also would not say 'to hang a picture you need to do sheetrock work'
well no, but a wall does need to be....installed...
Also Soul calibur 1, And Also some games I saw while I lived in Japan but missed so I can not say those really.
If a game requires an update before the game can be played that makes the internet a requirement for said game
If a car is out of fuel when you get in it then it cannot be driven
If you do not have the internet then a game cannot be updated
nope still does not work.
you do not say 'you cant hang a painting wihtout sheetrock work'
and i am not changing my view on this so lets move on. you CAN play steam games without interent connection.
but they dont.
unless your OS changes whatever version you have you can play disconnected even if an update is in queue.
now if you are online at a point where an update is in queue and then you disconnect at that point. I dont know, but that is a lot of ifs
The correct statement would be that you can play steam games after they are installed, but an internet connection is required in order to install said games. Therefor no internet means no games
if its only half true then why would you advocate a half lie by saying 'you need internet connection to play the game'
I have played steam games without internet connection so how is that statement not half false?
a few things
1. I am not changing my position peroid.
2. its better to be concise and accurate rather than trying to come up with excuses not to
3. what does any of this really have to do with much of anything anyway?
i dont know how that would even be possible.
if your disconnected how would the game even know it needs updated? and what would change in the firmware that would require it?
I dont think its possible to require an update if your disconnected unless carier pigions are involved.
