The Xbox one is a pile of crap!!!!

My in laws bought my children an Xb1 for Xmas and thus far I am completely unimpressed!

It requires an internet connection to play any game

You have to install every single game on the HD before you can play it (even games you have the disk for).... Then half of the time it just says that there was an error while installing the game and will not finish installing it no matter what you do.

I've been banging my head against the wall for 2 days now trying to get this pile of crap to work for my poor kids!

I'm extremely tempted to give it back to my in laws and tell them that they should get their money back!!!!!

Does everyone have this installation problem or did we just get a lemon?

Taking the disk out, cleaning it, reinserting the disk, then crossing your fingers that it actually installs and then repeating the process when the installation fails is obserd!

It reminds me of the NES days of taking the cartridge out, blowing in it, then putting it back in the machine, and repeating that process for 5 minutes straight until you finally got the damn game working! C'mon Microsoft it's friggen 2016! We solved these types of problems decades ago!

The sad thing is I was actually finally starting to consider buying one of these piles of crap console... boy I'm glad I never did

Dunno what to tell you. Mine works fine. I mean, I do play my 360 more than it, but then again, I did stop buying a ton of new games over the last two years, and I have, uh... a TON of 360 games.

Well I googled game installation issues with the xb1, and it seems to be the biggest complaint people have with this console. So I don't think it's really just an issue with this particular xb1. But I do think it's completely idiotic that you have to install every game on the HD before you can play it! What's the point of disks at this point?

If anyone gave back a gift i gave them then i would never get them anything again.

But dont we steam users have to install games and be connected to the internet? Consoles are just taking the same path

The "Next-Gen" consoles in general are severely underwhelming in my opinion. Mainly it's because there are way too many remakes and remasters and a lot less new ip's.

I'm never parting from my 360. Hell, I still own a PS2.

So many people hate companies such as ms, ea, sony, activision etc but the same people still buy from them.
