In Waterfox if you leave a bunch of tabs open and set it to remember where you left off, it will only load the current tab when you load back up, it doesn't pre-load everything like chrome does, and opera and waterfox both have much better speed dial functions (most visited websites) than chrome.
However there seems to be no consensus on whether 64 bit Firefox or Waterfox is better. I'd say stick with regular Firefox unless you have serious problems.

There's plenty of derivates based on it, like the mentioned Waterfox.
Could also check out Vivaldi, or Chromium. And my personal long time favorite: Lynx (sadly not really feasible anymore :/)
Firefox has Ublock origin though... same thing pretty much.
If you don't want anyone knowing everything you're doing online, go with Firefox.
If you're not in a rush, go with Internet Explorer.
If you're a web designer, go with Netscape.
Your assumptions about browser security are ill comceived. If you really want to try being anonymous, you should be using Tails, Tor relay, Orfox, and a good VPN. Even then, you would still be trackable by other means. Don't do shady things on the intraweb and you needn't worry.
