Why is there so much drama on the internet these days? Even steam is getting too toxic to endure.

Impatient kids asking for unfinished games ignorant that it's not safe for open release.

Toxic trolls.

Haters that don't even understand what's going on.

Bleach wars on Garry's Mod.

Is it just me or is the end of the world near?

My wife has a Bachelors in Psychology and I have education in science and biology and we've talked about this issue.
The internet gives many of the mentally ill and anti-social people a place they can feel safe and "BIG" and attack others while hiding behind their keyboard.
The same people who rarely go out in public, and never make eye contact if they do. They are the silent type, introvert, low self esteem, insecure, and socially awkward.
The internet gives them a place they can "TAKE CONTROL" in their mind and lash out at people without the risk of getting stomped into a curb. Which is what would happen in REAL LIFE if they tried that garbage on real people.

I just ignore them. They need help and treatment for their disorder. Really no joke. Just ignore them and they will move on to other people who will feed their ilness.

Well online is getting pretty bad. One of the reasons I keep to myself a lot more. And I do not play much online games now.
