Meme question: What is the actual meaning of a 'cuck'?
Hello folks, as we all know, we generally throw most liberals with that nickname, but when doing research, all it does is bring up onni-son and other things, it mentions little of the real definition.

Anybody know a definition? (I dont not mean the sexual one)

The sexual one is the origin, but it's taken on other, more ridiculous meanings, recently.

The sexual one is the correct definition. "A cuckold is the husband of an adulterous wife. In evolutionary biology, the term is also applied to males who are unwittingly investing parental effort in offspring that are not genetically their own." is how Wikipedia puts it.

Don't ask me to explain the meme version though. My tiny brain can't comprehend all the different definitions.

It derives from cuckoos (the bird) and I am pretty sure Shakespeare made it up (or an approximation of it) first
I believe it came from the word "cuckold," which is sleighn someone who's been cheated on.

The sexual definition, as others have explained, comes from "cuckold".

The meme definition is basically trying to force the meaning of "you just got humiliated and you should feel bad".

It is often applied as a criticism (for some reason) against people being nice/generous, basically implying "you just let someone else win rather than expressing dominance over them", which mainly comes from trying to shoehorn a machismo-based or dog-eat-dog worldview on everything. Could be applied to anything from giving away one's TF2 items to supporting equal rights for a group one isn't a part of, so it's basically just an expression of projected selfishness.

TL;DR it's the internet's flavor-of-the-day for insulting people.
